1. What do you think causes the acheivement gap?
I think that the students should start caring about there education. They should start working at there full potential.

2. What can students do to close the gap?
I think that the students should start working at there full potential and start caring about there own future in order to get somewhere. Also they can ask there teachers for help because they have low espectations.

What can parents do?
Parents can start seeing themselves as teachers and care about there future so they could succeed in life. Also they can start following there kids grades an d keep them on task.

1. What did you think of Mr. Hayden?
I thought Mr. Hayden was a nice guy and he seemed very intelligent and he was very well mannered.

2. Tom Hayden does not think of himself a Civil Rights Leader. Do you see him as one? Why or Why not?
I dont see him as a leader cause he doesnt talk like one. He seemed intelligent and new his stuff but I dont think of him of a leader.

3.Tom Hayden feels that leaders are not as important as the hundreds or thousands of people behind them. Why does he mean by that?
I think he means that to be a leader you need people to support you becaouse if you dont have any one behind you other people wont believe you.

I think this means that some peoplejust don't care about their grades and are failing.I have a neighbor who used to care about his grades in middle school. He would do all the classwork homework and all the good stuff. But once he got into the home highschool he didn't care about his grades. I told him I was in the same situation and he said not to do anything about it. I said I will raise my grade but he said he was'nt. I just told him to take careof himself. He said that he had joined a gang and that they would look after him but I did'nt say anything.
